2026/01/19 Winter lab outing: Intro to Archery
To celebrate the lab’s first anniversary, the winter holidays, and a score of successful projects in the lab, the team of outstanding interns (Adam B, Yany F, Ziad-A J, Pierre-Olivier L, Zia L, Lorena M, Shi Ping W) and JB head to Centre Claude Robillard for training with a competitive archer. We learned different techniques (instinctive draw, modified Swedish), sent plenty of arrows on target and even had a friendly competition. Pierre-Olivier was a natural archer, got the bullseye almost every time and walked away with the prestigious Lalanne lab annual Golden Pipette Trophy. Ziad and Yany closed the podium. Better luck next time JB. Remarkably, no one was hurt and we wrapped everything up with celebratory cake!
It was a lof fun and surprisingly mobilized similar skills as science: focus, attention to details, control of the breath (kidding!).

2025/07/18 Mount Saint-Hilaire half day hike
On the summer’s best day (not too hot, not too humid) so far, Lorena, Pierre-Olivier, Yany and JB hit the trail and hike a near 300 m elevation. Great opportunity to informally get to know each other and catch sight of some local wildlife.
